Kennedy Boboye, technical adviser for Bendel Insurance, acknowledged that his team was penalised for their subpar performance in the first half of the match against Abia Warriors.
The Abia Warriors defeated the Benin Arsenals 3-0 on Sunday at Umuahia Township Stadium.
For the Umuahia-based team, Chukwuemeka Obioma scored two goals, and Etta Ikoi added a third.
Boboye claimed that his team’s performance fell short of expectations.
For you, that’s football. Your opponent punishes you when you don’t live up to the expectations.
According to the Nghasua, Bendel Insurance has lost all three of their road games this season.
